How do I setup email in Outlook?

1) Open Outlook.
2) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'E-mail Accounts'.

3) Choose 'View or Change existing e-mail accounts' and click Next.

4) Highlight your 'Duke account' and click Change.
For Duke Email, list your incoming server as imap.duke.edu
For Pratt Email, list your incoming server as mail.pratt.duke.edu

You can tell which email you use frequently by the footer of your email address: @duke.edu for duke email, and @pratt.duke.edu for pratt email.

5) On the E-mail accounts screen make sure that smtp.duke.edu is listed as the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP). Enter your netID in place of 'Pratt User'

6) Choose the More Settings button.
7) Select the Outgoing Server tab.

8) Choose the checkbox for 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication'
9) Choose the radial button for 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server'

10) Select the 'Advanced' Tab.

11) Click the checkbox beneath 'Outgoing server (SMTP)' for 'This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)'
