How do I use Scan-To-Email on the Brother MFC9800?

If you have a network connected Brother MFC9800 in proxcimity to your desk, you can use the decive as if it were a directly connected scanner. The device will scan a document and email the resulting image to you at your pre-configured address.

If you want to take advantage of this feature on your MFC9800, contact your administrator or email to Support@pratt.duke.edu to have your address configured in the MFC9800.

Once your device is configured, you will be able to scan documents and have them emailed to you by using the following procedure:

1. Press the buttin marked Scan to Email
2. Press 2 for scanning to a network email address

3. Select a scan type. The scan types are:
a. Black and White Standard
b. Black and White Fine
c. Color Standard
d. Color Fine
e. Color Super-Fine

4. Select the button corresponding to your email address (specified by your administrator)
5. Select Start Fax
