PrattWeb accounts are available with several optional features. If you need any of these features, please indicate this in your account request.
CGI Support
Accounts that support use of CGI will include a private cgi-bin directory for storage of scripts to be executed by the web server, enabling the creation of dynamic web applications. Scripts are executed with your unique userid for security reasons.
Server-Side Includes Support
Server-Side Includes enable the insertion of dynamic content such as that created via CGI above, directly into standard HTML pages.
PHP Script Support
The PHP Hypertext Preprocessor is a scripting language that enables creation of dynamic documents that are part HTML and part server-parsed script. PHP Documentation and other resources including free scripts are widely available.
PrattWeb Server Support
Support for PrattWeb server issues is provided by the Pratt IT Staff. Support of website content (including CGI scripts) hosted on the PrattWeb hosting service is provided by the individual site owner.
