ESSENTIAL ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

(support and recordings):

* To ensure events begin on time, please have the presenter show up at least 15 minutes prior to the start time. This prep time is essential in getting people set up properly for their presentation and the recording (if applicable). It also enables us to troubleshoot any equipment or presentation materials that the presenter has brought in.

* Relating to the above point, if there are multiple presenters, please allow for more set up time. It is recommended that all presenters load their presentations prior to the start of the event. This allows for seamless transitions between speakers and helps prevent down-time during the event.

ESSENTIAL ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

(recordings only):

* Five business days prior to the day of the event, the presenter(s) must sign the Pratt Release Form (attached to this page or available as text in another FAQ on av.pratt.duke.edu). Pratt IT does not have to collect this form; we just have to know that you have indeed secured this written permission.

* Currently Pratt IT only supports recordings in Schiciano Auditorium and Teer 115. For other recording needs, a loaner video camera can be checked out from Pratt IT's Help Desk. Please submit a ticket to it.pratt.duke.edu/help with your request to reserve the loaner camera (it is a small HDV camera - - MiniDV tapes must be supplied by the user). The loaner form will be available at the Help Desk when you pick up the camera; you will need to provide a fund code on this form which will only be charged in the event you lose or damage the equipment.
